Legal Notice: This tool is intended for downloading videos you own, have explicit permission to download, or that are in the public domain. Downloading copyrighted content without the rights holder's permission may violate the Terms of Service of the platform and applicable copyright law (including the DMCA). By using this tool, you confirm that you have the right to download the content and accept full responsibility for your use. This site does not host, store, or redistribute any downloaded videos.
Note for YouTube: Due to YouTube's technical restrictions, only 360p is available for YouTube videos. Higher resolutions (480p, 720p, 1080p) require merging separate video and audio streams on a server, which YouTube actively blocks from cloud-hosted services. For higher quality YouTube downloads, we recommend desktop apps like yt-dlp or 4K Video Downloader. Facebook and Twitter/X videos are available in all their original resolutions. Videos up to ~20 minutes can be reliably downloaded from this site. Longer videos may time out due to server processing limits.

How to Download YouTube Videos Free Online

YouTube

Step 1 — Copy the YouTube video link

To download a YouTube video, start by opening the video you want to save on YouTube. Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar — it usually looks like youtube.com/watch?v=.... You can also copy the link directly from the YouTube share button by tapping "Copy link".

Step 2 — Analyze the video

Once you have the URL, paste it into the input field above and click Analyze. The tool will fetch the video details and show you the available download option. YouTube downloads are available in 360p MP4 format, which works instantly without any waiting.

Step 3 — Save the video to your device

Click Download to save the video to your device. On desktop, the file will be saved automatically to your Downloads folder. On mobile, the video will open in a new tab — tap the three-dot menu and select "Download" or "Save video" to keep it on your phone.

How to Download Facebook Videos Free Online

Facebook

Step 1 — Copy the Facebook video link

To download a Facebook video, navigate to the video post on Facebook. Click on the video to open it, then click the three-dot menu (•••) in the top right corner of the post. Select Copy link to copy the video URL to your clipboard. Make sure the video is set to public — private or friends-only videos cannot be downloaded.

Step 2 — Analyze the video

Paste the copied Facebook URL into the input field above and click Analyze. The tool will detect the available video qualities from Facebook's servers and display them as options. Facebook videos are typically available in multiple resolutions, so you can choose the quality that suits your needs best.

Step 3 — Save the video to your device

Select your preferred quality and click Download. The download will begin immediately. On desktop, your browser will save the MP4 file to your Downloads folder. On mobile devices, the video may open in your browser first — use the share or save option from your browser's menu to store it locally on your device.

How to Download Twitter / X Videos Free Online

Twitter / X

Step 1 — Copy the tweet link

To download a video from Twitter or X, find the tweet that contains the video you want to save. Click on the tweet to open it, then click the share icon at the bottom of the tweet. From the share menu, select Copy link. The URL will look like x.com/username/status/... or twitter.com/username/status/....

Step 2 — Analyze the video

Paste the tweet URL into the input field above and click Analyze. The tool will extract the video from the tweet and show you the available quality options. Twitter videos are served as combined video and audio streams, so all qualities download instantly without any server processing time.

Step 3 — Save the video to your device

Choose your preferred resolution and hit Download to save the video. Only videos from public tweets can be downloaded — videos from protected or private accounts are not accessible. GIFs posted on Twitter are also supported and will be downloaded as MP4 video files.

How It Works

When you paste a video URL and click Analyze, your browser sends the URL to a lightweight Flask backend hosted on Railway. That backend uses yt-dlp — a powerful open-source video extraction library — to fetch the available formats and metadata for the video without downloading it yet. The tool then displays the available quality options. When you click Download, the backend fetches the selected video stream and streams it directly back to your browser as a file download. For Facebook and Twitter/X, direct stream URLs are returned and your browser downloads from the platform's own CDN. YouTube downloads are limited to 360p because YouTube actively blocks higher-resolution stream merging from cloud server IPs.

Why Use This Tool

Most video downloader sites are cluttered with ads, misleading download buttons, or require browser extensions that have broad access to your browsing data. This tool has none of that — it is a clean, single-purpose downloader with no extension needed, no account, and no subscription. It works on any device with a browser, including iPhone and Android. It is particularly useful for saving videos for offline viewing when you are about to lose internet access, archiving content before it is taken down, or downloading educational or fitness videos you have the right to keep. As always, please only download content you have the legal right to save.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this video downloader free?

Yes, completely free. No account, no subscription, no watermarks.

Which platforms are supported?

YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter/X. The video must be publicly accessible.

Why is YouTube limited to 360p?

YouTube detects and blocks high-resolution downloads from cloud server IPs. 360p is the highest quality reliably available. For higher quality, consider using a desktop tool like yt-dlp directly.

Can I download private or members-only videos?

No. This tool only works with publicly accessible videos. Private, age-restricted, or subscription-only content cannot be downloaded.

Where does the downloaded video go?

It saves to your browser's default Downloads folder, just like any other file download.

Is it legal to download videos?

Downloading videos for personal offline viewing is generally tolerated, but redistribution or commercial use of copyrighted content is not. Always respect the original creator's rights.

Why does my download sometimes fail?

Some videos are geo-restricted, have DRM, or are semi-private. If a download fails, the video is likely protected or unavailable in your region.
